What DogYears provides. Free age-conversion estimates for dogs and cats, presented for general information and curiosity. The figures come from published rule-of-thumb veterinary guidance and a published research formula, both described and limited on this site.

Not veterinary advice

Nothing here is a health assessment, diagnosis or care recommendation for any individual animal. Decisions about senior care, screening, diet, exercise and treatment belong to you and your veterinarian. If your pet is unwell, contact a vet — do not consult a chart.

Accuracy

We work to keep the charts faithful to their sources, but estimates are population-level approximations and individual animals vary. We accept no liability for decisions made solely on these numbers.

Use of the site

You may link to and quote the charts with attribution. Automated scraping that degrades the service for others is not permitted. The Pro tier referenced on the pricing page is a teaser only: it is not available, not billed, and these terms create no subscription.
